Vision Statement of the AAC IC

The International Committee of the Atlanta Area Council views Scouting as an international brotherhood and is committed to helping Scouts of the Atlanta Area Council interact with Scouts from nations around the world and participate in international scouting events and experiences.

Mission of the AAC IC

The mission of the Atlanta Area Council International Committee is to promote the brotherhood of Scouting around the world and to help Atlanta Area Council Scouts participate in international events. World Jamborees, national jamborees in many countries, camp staff exchanges, troop and Venturer high adventure trips, national and council contingent participation, Citizenship in the World MB, Jamboree on the Internet, Kandersteg, and many more programs offer a gateway to International Scouting opportunities. The AAC IC will provide information, contacts, program guidance and assistance, and resources to help both units and individuals interested in an International Scouting experience. These experiences will help AAC Scouts and their families become more aware of opportunities for growth through international scouting as they take their own place as global citizens!
